Hi Guys, Bit of a newb here sorry. I can use feeding-bottle to capture a fourway handshake and use the built in dictionary to attack it...no joy. I have tried to download the big dictionary offered here but the password does not seem to work on the dumptruck site. I may need to upload my captured handshake files for dict attacks but i cannot for the life of me figure out how and to save them!!! I am using Beini 123 through a Linux live usb flash drive. Thanks all.
Ultimately, What are you trying to achieve?:
Hack WPA with a Dictionary attack with FeedingBottle

    Operating System:
    Windows
If you used a Live CD or USB How did you create it?:
    Linux live usb creator

    Xiaopan 0.3.7.1

Mount a spare USB and save the handshake to it or you can save it your HDD. By the way, latest Xiaopan would be 0.4.6.1;)

    Hi, thanks for the reply.
In beini i can't see where/how to save it to my hdd, if i mount a fresh usb stick will the option to save it there be available to see?
Is it easier/ clearer to use Xiaopan? Can it be mounted to a usb stick with Linux like beini is? How?

Sorry but i did say i was a newb at this.

    mount.jpg

    1. Run Xiaopan liveUSB. Once you are there, plug in your spare USB.
    2. sda(HDD) sdb(liveUSB) sdc(spare USB)
    3. Select mount tool, tick at sdc ( spare USB )
    4. Select XFE, browse to /mnt/sdc
    5. Copy and paste your cap file to /mnt/sdc
    cheers newb;)

It can be huge but if the pass is not in the list then you would be wasting your time. Dictionary attack....10% knowledge 90% pure luck I would say. So good luck on your pentesting:) I've tried dictionary attack on 5 routers and I've manage to crack 4 because in my region, mostly numbers are used as pass except one which is alphanumeric.

Thanks anyway Mr P, it seems that you cannot copy n paste in the password, it has to be written.

    Regards, Dave.
