Hi There What version of Beini or Xiopan will work with the RT2870 without any modifercation. I would like to burn it onto a CD. As i dont have any spare usb sticks.

It also depends on what software you use to create the Live CD, trial and error is the key. Please report back asap for what worked and what worked the best for you. Many users have reported that LiveCDs do not work well. Well worth a $5 investment to get a USB stick. w_fantasma is right, please read the support thread and if you are still having issues submit a support form with detailed information.
I live in the UK, Sticks are not really that cheap. Plus im going away tomorrow. I was going to burn it using nero burner. I also have a copy of imageburn. My plan was to use it on different computers with different operating systems. Win7, XP and Vista. I'm using one of these external Wifi all in one units. http://www.faculty-x.net/NET-WL-ROCKET_BG
Just a update. I burned XiaoPan_0.4.2.2_(English) on to a cd and it worked fine. It even detected my usb antenna.
May I asked what you used to burn it? was it pretty straight forward? So to answer your own question: What Version Of Beini / Xiaopan Work With Rt2870? The answer is Xiaopan_0.4.2.2_(English)
Need some sort of Xiaopan database with users reporting what works and what does not with their wireless cards. Or we need someone with an extensive range of wireless cards to test I will see if I can do something!
