How does it work so fast for you? I have been running another cap and it's only on boat after an hour and a half

You must be using your CPU. It only takes a few minutes using GPU(s) :)

Good find! I wonder if Charter has their modified firmwares anywhere for download... I'd love to check them out.

I did not find it in my extended adjective-noun word list so its most likely the password has been changed from the default.

@gearjunkie i have noticed some netgear routers use 4 digits. Have you came across any with 4 in your travels?

Nothing when I tried it on my extended adjective-noun list either. Likely the password has been changed from the default.

I have not come across them before. Do you have screenshots?

i found this image during my google travels, which lead me to ask if you experienced 4 digits. The 4 digits are obviously used in the SSID ,however, both adj & noun are both in the v1.06 list. I personally have not experienced 4 digits either but after seeing this i thought it was an interesting find and could help the cause.

In the first image, BigPondXXXX is the SSID. The key is the 10 digit below it.

It not as common but I have encountered the single digit after the adjective-noun. That is the reason the netgear_adjective_noun_1d.txt list is included in the download.

The BigPond router, although it is Netgear, does not appear use this list at all. I think Telstra has specified that it wants extra security from Netgear. BigPond typically uses as standard an 8 digit space configuration, using hex numbers.

The Netgear list adjective_noun_digit/s brilliant V1.06 format appears to be for wireless routers from other different ip providers. Also more importantly, it is used heavily for retail Netgear products.

Thankyou for the two photos, very interesting. A great piece of work showing us the single digit in the 2nd photo. A great tip for us all!

    Garry.
