Hi, thank you for your kind response.
i am sorry, i find it so hard to follow your instructions After inserting the spare usb and selecting mount tool,
i dont see the sdc in the small box( red and green) so I selected sda1, hoping to copy to my hdd.
From then on after selecting xfe...i could not follow the steps...just blank.!
Would you be so kind to make a step by step tutorial with screen shots ?
I am sure it will be a great help to many of us in the same predicament.
Thank you for your time and interest.

If you are running Xiaopan through Virtual machines, usb will be read as sda1/sda2 and so on. After connecting your usb to virtual machine select mount tool then hit sda1. Open up xfe, browse for your cap file and right click copy then paste to mnt/sda1.

It can be done with LiveCD as well

Same as above, only thing when you run LiveCD usb/external drives will be read as sdb. As you can see from the picture attached
sda1,2,3 and 5 are my pc hdd partitions.
    sdb is my Live CD
sdb1,2 and 3 are usb drives (there are 3 partitions in my liveUSB)
If you have much problem with LiveCD, create a liveUSB instead(unetbootin, linux live USB creator, yumi) plenty of choices out there to create a liveUSB. Furthermore, LiveUSB run smoother and faster compare to CD. You can even create a persistence partition in your USB to keep all your changes to your xiaopan iso.

Hello. I did not look at date so I am sorry if this is old thread...anyway i have tried xboot and yumi..I like yumi better and I can not get the cdfs boot disk of beini to operate as a usb drive? I have burned iso's, copied files, I was originally trying to add dictionary list then got to a point where I was only burning iso image of the actual disk in the dvd drive and nothing?? what am I missing here?? ... I even tried every usb port on my laptop. I think it has to do with cdfs format and tiny core???idk

by the way there is no reason to add libraries to bootable disk....for everyone new reading this .... as etimacamry said...you will load your wordlist or dictionary files from a usb...doesn't have to be bootable..just storage. So don't waste your time listning to idiots online
