To all intents and purposes, it looks the same spec as the AWUS036AC (RTL8812au), but in a palm style adapter case design.

The native USB 3.0 port means if your still rocking USB 2 ports then you won't maximize any potential speeds to be had unless
you add in a PCI/PCIe USB 3 card and connect that way instead.

Putting it in a larger palm style case however, may mean more potential that the power can be cranked up and things should run cooler/with better component spacing.

But starting with the AC series, ALFA no longer seems to be inclined to supply power level information in their documentation on their adapters anymore only grandiose claims of speed which you'll never attain unless your sat on top of the router.

This wasn't the case before with the 036NHV and below ilk. They did specify power levels for prior models, although if you're unlucky enough to be in europe it's all a con on those specifications anyway.

RTL8812AU still doesn't support monitor mode in Linux. Your still in practically the same boat as the 036AC/036NHV.

Which means no deauth, no handshakes, and no WEP cracking. Only good use is for Windows/MAC.

And if you already own an 036AC already I just don't see the point unless it fits in a squid holder which the 036AC doesn't.

Although the ACH is now listed at ALFA's official site, there's also these models too available but no official announcements @alfa.

    http://www.alfanetwork.no/Alfa-Netw...ng-Range-USB-Adapter/cat-p/c1000028/p10500286

052NH (Same casing as 036ACH but orange and black, although the RT3572 chipped 052NH listed there is specced as 802.11ac which I have serious doubts about the validity of that)

(And for all intents your getting the same chip as the 051NH v2 RT3572 except with extra dual antennas with the 052NH, if that's the case there's no point in having an 051NH v2 model for the same chip with a single antenna)

    and...

    http://www.alfanetwork.no/Alfa-Netw...-USB-adapter-cd-free/cat-p/c1000028/p10500203

036NHC (Which has actually been up a few months already and looks kind of interesting with an inbuilt signal amplifer)

Since the 036ACH actually went official and they use the same casing design for all three, it should only be a matter of time before the others appear (or so you would think).

Yes I see that now for the 052NH... I just couldn't find it for the 036AC when released.

Which seem ok as for output power on N networks but sensitivity are a bit lower than NHV?
Do we know if 052NH supports monitor and injection?

It should as it's Ralink RT3572 (same as 051NH v2) but with an extra antenna.

RT2770/3070/3572 should all be covered by the rt2800usb linux driver.

Attention: AWUS036ACH has USB 3.0 port is not compatible with older USB standards.

Being only on USB 2.0 ports at the most personally, that's me out the picture from buying one. I can't justify the extra cost of having to buy a PCIe USB 3.0 card while at the same time having to shell out for the adapter as well.

So 052NH seems like an interesting purchase when it comes to shops. What's your comments about sensitivity and output power?

    Hello.
How would you compare the Alfa AWUS036ACH to other 802.11ac models?
    (power, sensitivity, speed)

    COMFAST CF-7500AC 1200M
    [IMG]

    TP-Link Archer T4UH
    [IMG]

    Asus AC1300 USBAC56R
    [IMG]

All of them are considered good on some review but they are not compared against each other, and some don't publish are specs.
