    hello gents
i was wondering if vmware can use bootable usb
i made search and find solution i would like to share it with you
    download the file
    Code:
    Select All
    plpbt-5.0.15-test.zip
    then extract it
now in vmware create new vm
    choose the extracted iso file
configure the vmware to have usb controller active
plug in your bootable usb drive
run the vm scroll down to usb

Thanks for posting this for others, this is how I have had my live usb VM setup.

Actually come to check, I have been using the full Plop Linux live cd (,iso) and picking out Plop boot manager from the menu when the cd loads and then going to usb. Having that little minimal linux there ready to go before a vm helps out when you have to make a change to an installed linux os.

Sometimes it can be difficult inside linux to get the virtual drivers, but it can be done in through the default repostories. In windows you can just enable the virtual usb with a right click in virtual box.

Virtual Box native boots from USB, I was just saying for VMware, after VM > Removable Devices > USB flash with Xiaopan + Alfa is enabled then I boot the vmware VM to the plop .ISO to pick "boot from USB" from plop's menu. Glad you also got it working
