The Demonstration is for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE ONLY!!!

Cain and Abel is a password recovery tool for Microsoft Operating Systems. It allows for easy recovery of various kinds of passwords by cracking encrypted passwords. Cain and Abel also used for Network Sniffing, ARP Spoofing, Wi-Fi Sniffing and Cracking. Cain and Abel crack passwords with all three techniques Brute Force, Dictionary, and Rainbow attacks. For this demonstration Cain and Abel will be used to perform a Dictionary attack. Cain and Abel can be downloaded here: http://www.oxid.it/cain.html.

Dictionary attacks are password attacks that will not attempt to decrypt any information. This attack will use every word in a dictionary. The dictionaries are compiled into wordlist to achieve the goal of cracking the password hashes. The word lists are made up of anything that can be related to your target such as last names, birthday dates, and words in the Spanish, French and English languages.

Download a word list from these locations
    ftp://ftp.ox.ac.uk/pub/wordlists/

Little time is required to recover any password but there is a small chance of success.
