Currently the best automated way is to use pyrit to check. You might have to remove the last packet in the capture if pyrit complains about incomplete packets. You could also do it manually and check out the sizes of the anonce, snonce, keymic, eapol and also if the nonces match but that is quite a bit of work.

Thanks again gearjunkie - now using pyrit (analyze command) as my defualt method to verify captures instead of cowpatty. Appreciate the feedback, mez

    Hey PhoenixCoder,

No, I'll have to wait until I'm back at work after the new year :( - will post it ASAP though. Thanks for your interest & have a great NY yourself.

    Cheers,

Here is a netgear router that doesn't work with your current wordlist, thought I'd upload it if you can bruteforce it and update your collection of nouns + adjective + 3/1 digits

Sorry but nothing came up after I tested this through my huge list of adjective and nouns. It could be a bad capture or the default key has been changed.

Awesome work with this, I can report 3 successful uses of your wordlist! I have been searching for other known vendor default wordlists ever since, but haven't had much luck. Could you give this netgear one a shot for me please? I have tried, but haven't been able to crack it. Thanks!

Your welcome. Although, why did you go with the GTX 460 if your aim was to make a cracking rig? It's not the fastest or best value for the money.

However if this is your first cracking rig, it's not a bad start.

Hope the testing goes well and let me know if you have any questions.

150 bucks? Cool deal, but yeah I would recommend the 970 or even 980ti if you can afford it. Personally have used the 980ti and they're great!

The pyrit benchmark is close to my research on the 460 SE (the Internet says 18k) so that's great.

On the other hand, the 980ti has a speed of about 272k which is 15x faster, so what would take 15 hours with the 460 will be done in 1 hour on the 980ti.

That's why i recommend getting a good GPU, because it is the MOST important component.

Now that my rant is over welcome to GPU cracking, hope you enjoy it. I know I do
