Today I will show you how to increase your WiFi reception simply by using simple items that we all have at home. It will not be the best looking tool but it will do what it was intended to do. Which ever direction you point this THING..you will certainly see new WiFi signals you have never seen before and not to say that it will increase the reception in your own WiFi. Has to point in its direction. I have taken pictures of the process in creating this “tool”. NOTE: Measurements are approximate, NOT 100% exact due to the difference between Inches and Centimeters. I did use a converter but I’m not going to type 12.97 cm. So I’ll type 13 instead. Items Needed: Piece of cardboard 12 inch Height X 15 inch Wide (30cm X 38cm) Aluminum Foil Paper 11 inch Height X 15 inch Wide(about 28cm X 38cm) Glue/Adhesive (I used spray adhesive..easier to apply and not as messy) Stapler with staples 1) 1 ½ inch or 4 cm. from the bottom draw a horizontal line from point A to point B 2) Now draw vertical lines as shown in point C to D…lines will be about 3cm. or 1 ¼ inch apart 3) From the line that was drawn horizontally from point A to B you in the first image you are going to fold upwards 4) Now cut flaps in every line that was drawn from point C to D in the first image 5) In image 3 from point A to B you will fold inwards in the same direction you cut the flaps 6)Apply adhesive/glue to cardboard. Bond Aluminum foil to cardboard (shiny side up) 7)Fold inwards to form and shape a half circle. From end to end it should be 8 inches or 20cm. Staple. 8)Finally, place adapter and cardboard on flat surface. On the bottom rear of the cardboard ,in the center mark and punch a hole the size of the the part where the antenna screws into. And screw the antenna in. So final result should like something like this: For best results place at at height of about 5 feet or 1.52 meters. It will now be much easier to associate and crack AP’s that are far in distance. Look at the images without and with the project we just created. See the difference in the numbers and APs detected? Again, its not the best looking reception dish but it works super good for me.

Try to get some scrap sheet metal from a metal works place. Try Aluminium, steel, tin, copper or even stainless steel. Then you will need them to bend it, you would be able to cut it with a pair of tin snips. The plan I am working on would require 15 folds, 30mm apart at a certain degree to make it wrap around 180 degrees. You will also need a drill and a HS drill bit for the SMA connector. Probably 8mm one should do the trick. You should be talking in mm when you are talking about metal work or anything that requires fine measurements . Anyway, since your sizes are bigger than A3, I will make the overall dimensions 280mm x 390mm (H x W) so people can print on an A3.
Here you go ImJoJo and Crackerz Wave O/A dimensions are 275mm x 390mm (H x W). Scale is 1:1 if printed out at A3. I will end up drawing a top and bottom piece that can be wielded (concave or convex, I forget which one is which) to shape with the folds to make it stronger. Also would be good as a base so the ALFA or other NIC can be seated comfortably without toppling over . This will also mean you do not need to cut the strips to make it bend, just weld or glue the bottom piece in place.

Unfortunately, default keys can be generated so easily. (Thompson Algorithm) I think it will but not the same results Really? I have to try it out. Problem is I'm not much of a carpenter... I suggest for that, make a jig, cut the 30mm strips at the right angle (probably 15 degrees) get some epoxy resin, glue the pieces together and clamp / tape it to the jig. Put paper between the clamp points as you do not want the clamp sticking to your antenna . Hell, you could make this a perfect semi circle if you used 1mm strips (built up to 4) if you coated the faces with epoxy resin and leave it set over night in the jig. Essentially what you are doing there is shaping it and making ply wood in the process. Ideally you wouldn't want it too thick as you still want to connect your antenna to the SMA. I guess there are various connectors that you could use to make it bigger.
