Install Minidwep GTK on Ubuntu and Other Distros

    Tested with Ubuntu 13.04 :) Thanks estimacamry for your assistance.

    Dependencies
    Code:
    Select All
    sudo apt-get install libssl0.9.8 sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev iw sudo apt-get install libpcap-dev sqlite3 libsqlite3-dev libpcap0.8-dev sudo apt-get install aircrack-ng sudo apt-get install gksu sudo apt-get install reaver sudo airodump-ng-oui-update
    Install Minidwep
    Download the deb file. 32 or 64 bit from here. And place it on your desktop.
    Code:
    Select All
    cd Desktop (push enter) dpkg -i '/root/Desktop/minidwep-gtk-40420-ubuntu-32bit.deb' (push enter)
    Launch
    Code:
    Select All
    sudo minidwep-gtk

    libpcap-dev and libsqlite3-dev only need for compiling reaver and aircrack-ng

    Mr. Penguin, example, i have windows 8 64bit, can i install ubuntu but 32bit version? thx

    you can install ubuntu 32bit version and dual boot with windows 8. But if you have more than 3gb ram, you'll waste your ram.

    While I was creating the Xiaopan Ubuntu version I noticed that Unity was making it slugish. I converted it to Xubuntu and found dramatic performance increases.

    I can't install the minidwep 64bit i have ubuntu 13.04, how can i do it???

    I can install the mindwep 64bit on ubuntu 13.04, but when i run minidwep.gtk my computer show so many code and stop there. How to fix this problem?

    Hi which repositories would I have to add for fedora 19. I yum searched all the dependences, and i have none in my list. I managed to install kismet , kismon and aircrack. Reaver is the one im having trouble with. Contact me via PM or keep this board alive a little, by posting your answer here :)

    N00b question here.
    Im new to linux so excuse my ignorance o_O
    I've followed your instructions to the T, and looks like minidwep is installed, i use Alt + F2 and run it there.
    Looks like its starting and then just nothing.
    I check processes and can minidwep-qtk status as sleeping ?
    Ive installed Linux Mint Petra Mate 1.6.1

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello, I am new in linux, at this moment I have Linux Mint 17 Qiana Cinnamon 64 bit system in my laptop and I did all the steps for install minidwep-gtk with visible success but the problem is that minidwep-gtk show me the wireless card (wlan0 Atheros ath9k - [phy0]) but when the software ends the scanning in wep or wpa/wpa2 mode the results doesn't show wifi networks when I have my wireless network and the neighbors networks working near of my laptop. What is the trouble: my wireless card, the installation or configuration of minidwep-gtk? I need some help, thanks for read my trouble and thaks for your possible solutions.

    WEP working fine, WPS give some errors on ubuntu 14.04.1, but anyway...thanks :)
