Looks like a DIY Wok-Cover Satellite Dish with a long 9dBi antenna, great setup! How's the signal receiving strength? Do you mind share with us?
We all know Omni antennas work well in Vertical 360 degree ,but the result better then original stand at table. Not satisfactory，if replace Alfa 7dBi APA-05M sure it improve alots. Theory like ALFA AGA-2424.
i did my Tp-link TL-WN7200ND at my sat dish LNB to test, it did get more AP but the quality of signal drops a lot compare to b4.
You might need to explain what LNB and B4 means for others that are Newbie's. Heed this warning: Searching for a More Powerful Outdoor Antenna You maybe losing signal strength and quality due to your card not having enough power to power it.
ok, will try to type full text next time. LNB i use the original usb cable less than 1.5m the power from my netbook usb port are standard 5.0v i believe power loss is minimal. any idea that i can increase my wifi card power to max without hardware mod??

Dear Pascal, If you wish to get more AP surrounding ur area, you have to :? get some equipments like CCTV Intelligent control with joystick, quality WiFI cables, a positioning antenna ( very important ) of cause this few hardware will coast u alots $$ 1st,The idea i start using CCTV Motorise machine, cause it will save u alots of time to pointing target 360 degree,horizontal n vertical. and most impotant is < I CAN REMOTE ANYWHERE I LIKE >:eeksBy sit beside my laptop....:joy ofcause some software requested. If some xiaopan mates try using positioning antennas before , i'm sure they all knew the different of the degree.:idea 2nd is the WiFi cables, this will help u low loss the signal, in my case i'm using 12metres, it coast me alots $$, they is 1 solution, if u save more $ on cables, place ur card at outdoor by using a electical outdoor casing, then buy a ALFA 5-10-15-20 Metres USB Cable. THE Dish is just the reflactor, and the distance between reflactor n antenna hmm...u have to try DIY LOL:dance
