Hi everyone! I'm new here and i needed some help with these two cap files. I've followed the instructions and tried to crack it myself but no luck. The cap files are from Malaysia Streamyx. I've tried with 8-9 digits but it took me a long time as i dont own a very good device and i'm a student who needed internet access to do my college stuffs so i needed some of your help. Hello birdybike, the command to clean the cap file is "wpaclean" which was included in my previous post. The syntax is: wpaclean <out.cap> <in.cap> Where out.cap will be the name of your output file (new smaller and cleaner file), in my example it will be called "Desktop/30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake_clean.cap" and in.cap is the name of my input file (the unmodified and original cap file), in this case it's "Desktop/30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake.cap" Thus the full command will be: # wpaclean Desktop/30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake_clean.cap Desktop/30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake.cap We can now check the file sizes: # ls -l Desktop/30* -rwxrw-rw- 1 root root 2031175 Sep 30 06:23 Desktop/30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake.cap -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 636 Sep 30 06:24 Desktop/30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake_clean.cap
You can use mask processor under windows also not sure about crunch not a windows user. This is not a site for getting free internet from your neighbours "what you do with the key is up to you although it is illegal to use your neighbours internet without permission", the main purpose of this thread is to find the default keys patterns and help others find them. Although it is abused by some by posting multiple cap's,and have not contributed anywhere else in the forum,or give a donation to people cracking them "just look above one user 7 caps in one day". As for Streamyx i think the key length is 13 characters min as default. Your caps are a reasonable size this is for silly sized caps no cap should be 1mb+,and at least you've read the rules. See PhoenixCoder's post above for cleaning caps.

Hmm... Isn't it this is a place to get a free auditing service? I mean look at this facebook post posted by Xiaopan OS. Anyhow, why people ask for donation to crack the file for people? I know it is illegal and also for education purposes but people misuse this service to get their wifi cracked but some users do tried cracking the wifi but not successful and doesnt own a device like how those pros do. Isn't here is the place to get the service like this? It is okay not to get their wifi cracked as the people got their own life and stuffs to do but some users are asking for donation to get their wifi cracked which I find it ridiculous. Anyway, i just wanted to get this right, isn't this place is to get a free auditing service?
I see the problem, you are standing inside the C:\Users\birdy\Desktop\WPA\aircrack-ng-1.2-rc1-win\aircrack-ng-1.2-rc1-win directory and you are trying to use the cap file in the Desktop as (Desktop/xxxxxx.cap). When you don't specify a full path (a path that starts with the drive letter C,D, etc....) it is considered a relative path and as such gets appended to the current directory so the command is looking for "C:\Users\birdy\Desktop\WPA\aircrack-ng-1.2-rc1-win\aircrack-ng-1.2-rc1-win\Desktop/30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake.cap" which of course does not exist as it says. This is in addition to the fact that in windows, you need to have backslashes in the path not forward ones (i.e "\" VS "/") If you have the cap file in your desktop, then run: > wpaclean "C:\Users\birdy\Desktop\30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake_clean.cap" "C:\Users\birdy\Desktop\30-91-8F-92-1C-67_handshake.cap" In the above, I specified full paths instead of relative ones to avoid confusion and make sure the command knows where to find the file. If you have seen the electricity it cost's to run these rigs for cracking cap's you'd be surprised. Yes it is but we don't want the board full of "I wan't to crack my neighbours wifi, I'm to tight/poor to pay for wifi" It is illegal we don't wan't it here, it's a good way to get the site closed down.It's always for testing your own wifi wpa key.
That mean, after I got handshake, I put original handshake on my desktop (whenever I want) for in.cap and rename the files and put clean for out.cap right? I got it now.
