I used the parallels virtual machine on macosx systems were tried xiaopan0.4.7.2 and xiaopan6.4.1, as well as two virtual machines start mode. But it can not recognize the built-in card macbook. Then I try to use an external card, EDUP EP-MS1558, the chip is 8192cu, but it is not recognized. I think I may not have driven the wrong way or my operation, and shift a long time, still does not work, so special to treasure the great God seek advice. In addition, I see in this wiki in "How to Install Latest Compat-Wireless Drivers." Will this be operating in a virtual machine or a real machine as well? If the virtual machine, then how do I get the drivers in the virtual machine it?
Use search been said a couple of thousand times "internal cards don't work in vm" This has got to be one of the worst chipsets to use for linux "hacking" drivers buggy as hell monitor mode doesn't work..
actull.. --- Double Post Merged, 27 Jan 2016, Original Post Date: 27 Jan 2016 --- Did you know that all wireless cards are capable of monitor mode and so typically speaking, given the nature of how linux treats devices like files, you simply just need to find the right driver... doesn't need to be particularly specific for sniffing
I thank you for the answer. If 8187L chip card, then directly inserted into the usb, without doing other operations for virtual machines to be able to identify it?
it soul depends your Virtual Machine software as to whether or not your internal or external wifi card will be detected by the VM...
Yes, so I want to know how to install the drivers in the virtual machine it? Would you also hope the wing.
if you have apt-get install apt-get install synaptic and then run that and search for drivers or you could just google your cards "Manufacturer, Serial Number, and linux drivers"
We don't use apt-get in xiaopan All cards aren't capable of monitor mode The 8192cu should work ok in xiaopan but monitor mode will not, as for the 8187L "this is the better card"should work fine also, You will have to enable it in parallels, i've never used the software so wouldn't know how. As for compat drivers should build fine on latest xiaopan as normal but i've patched most driver's there shouldn't be a need for compat drivers.
I have driven my card linux environment, but I do not know how to install the driver to xiaopanos --- Double Post Merged, 27 Jan 2016, Original Post Date: 27 Jan 2016 --- 8187L NIC is not stuck to like, you do not need to do other operations, if that is the case, then I would hurry up and buy a 8187L
The drivers for your card are installed you need to enable it in parallels http://kb.parallels.com/uk/111725 To see if it's installed in xiaopan Code: Select All lsusb
