The Only complete handshake you have in either of those files is SSID: MySpectrumWiFi3c-2G

I shall collect some new handshakes and repost... forgive my stoopid question... but do you need anything beyond the hand shake? Do i need to convert the .cap to hccapx? The wifi3c-2g is one of the handshakes im failing to crack...Thanks in advance Mitch, im still learning..

SO.. hashcat only accepts .hccapx files for an input. With that being said, if using hashcat youll need to convert the .cap to .hccapx. Website here:

    https://hashcat.net/cap2hccapx/

and your command line will look something like this:

    hashcat -m 2500 -a 6 <path to .hccapx file> <path to Netgear adj+noun wordlist> ?d

    or if that doesn't work..

    hashcat -m 2500 -a 6 <path to .hccapx file> <path to Netgear adj+noun wordlist> ?d?d?d

Thank you so much for your time and info - I shall try that later this evening.. & Thank you for the command line, I was struggling with the 3 digit addition to the command at the end.... Just so I can avoid in the future, the SSID Wifi3c-2g relating to .cap supplied above, was the handshake complete enough to try to crack? or Do i need to collect more handshakes for a more accurate .cap??

The screenshot below shows you have 34 valid handshakes within that .cap file, all of which the same SSID. I cleaned that .hccapx file with this website:

    https://hashc.co.uk/hccapxsplitter

And made a new .hccapx file with 1 valid handshake, and attached it here.

I know it's been awhile but I'm getting desperate! :(:arghh: Below are the best 2 APs I captured near me. All I want for X-mas is high speed internet! Can anyone plz give me this present? BTW: These are named "bssid_(ACTUAL)essid.cap". I did NOT come up with the names so don't blame me if you're offended (like I was)!:banghead:

    90_9D_7D_34_A8_BE_34A8BE.cap isn't a valid handshake.

Thank you for the heads up! :banghead::facepalm: Here it is again; this time I HOPE is valid: (below)
Also, what about the OTHER AP handshake? I actually much prefer that to be cracked while this 1 is backup in case it can't

Hey Guys it's me again i'm having issue's with this one i've ran Netgearkiller.dict with no hits i've also tried some wordlists a couple 14gb ones no hits. i've even tried a phone number mask run no hits. I still think its a default password and i just don't have the right combination of words. Anyone want to give it a go?

You will have to have a newer version of hashcat as it is a PMKID hash i run 5.0 this is the command i'm using:

    hashcat64.exe -m 16800 output.txt -a 6 -w 3 netgearkiller.dict ?d?d?d

replace the output.txt with the Myspectrum name.

    Thanks,
    Wes

you can also google Netgearkiller.dict and download it. Thats what i used on yours itzh4cked. It takes me about 7 hours to run through the complete netgearkiller list since i only have one GTX 1080.

Do you have the dictionary provided in the OP of this thread? All the links are broken and I had to reset my rig earlier.. lost the dictionary.
