You are not understanding, just because it works with WEP, WPA, Beini, FeedingBottle, Minidwep does not mean your card will work with Reaver, the RT3070L has issues, it even says so on the developers website. I suggest you download Beini 1.2.4 and try to run an aircrack scan via RootShell and find the SSID of a WPS network using: Code: Select All sudo airodump-ng wlan0 Then use a pen and paper and write down the details of the network you want to attack, then use command line Reaver. Hopefully you will get it to work. It is not Reaver that isn't working it is wash. Wash is the application that scans for WPS networks. Beini 1.2.4
Yes, Reaver can hack PSK-WPA when WPS is enabled. But that does not mean that WPS is enabled, you might find that some networks will have it, others will not. 80% of new devices ship with WPS on by default, therefore, users of these devices have to physically turn it off. You may as well try, Reaver will tell you if it is not working or not if you specify the -vv tag which will show detailed errors.

You are telling me that after you put in sqlite3 file into Beini 1.2.4 your wireless card could not be seen? I am well aware that Beini 1.2.4 does not have inflator. It does still have reaver: You can use Feeding Bottle to get your device into monitor mode to use with Reaver. However, do not click next. 00:00:00:00:00 is the MAC address of the device you are going to attack, each device has a unique identifier, therefore you could be traced. Best to use in conjunction with macchanger. It is getting to the point where you should buy something like an AWUS036H. Beini cannot detect my wireless card before and after I put sqlite3.tcz file. Can somebody help me here? or Reaver does not support my wireless card? It says cannot be associated and my type is rtl2800usb/rt3070. Rtl2800usb is partially supported but rt3070 is not supported? which ones?
Seems like you are getting closer! Open up your device and find out what chip is in there?. Given that is supports b/g/n I would suspect it is an rt3070 device. I get this error at times. Please specify the -vv command so we can see any potential detailed errors. The rt is Ralink, the rtl is Realtek, two different manufacturers. Bear in mind that some cards you will not be able to associate because they might have MAC filtering. You should also specify a channel the network you want to attack, it is channel hopping which will take you longer to crack. Hello I believe I am having similar issue to this one. My card works fine in Beini 1.2.1 but doesn't work in newer Beini versions, BT5 nor in XiaoPanOS. I've found that 2870/3070 is no longer supported in BT5. When I enable monitor mode in XiaoPan, tx-power is 0 and airodump-ng doesn't show a thing (hence wash/reaver/inflator don't work) On dishingtech there is some tutorial regarding the change for tx-power in bt5 (I am getting the SET failed on device...) but I can't seem to figure out how to do this in XiaoPan. (Currently I am only connecting through WIFI, cabled network is a no-go for me) Also I am quite familiar with reaver and wash, but I was using it in bt5 r1 few months ago with different USB adapter. (I've successfully retrieved a couple pins/wpa). Oh and I'm running everything in win7 - vmware player. I've added inflator in older Beini, but injection doesn't work at all (aireplay... -9). Also when I try and run reaver/wash it says something about shared library and being unable to run. Any thoughts / ideas on how to make it work with this usb dongle ?
I would imagine that it uses a lower version of compat-wireless. I suggest you find the files that your card (tce / tcz) uses in Beini 1.2.1 and use UltraISO to edit Xiaopan OS 0.4.1 to include it in the cde folder. While you are at it you may as well delete the other drivers since they are of no use to you. Well I've managed to get my card working in BT5 with compat-wireless-2012-02-01 and 2.6.39.patches and even installed inflator there. Everything is working as it should be. When I add my USB Flash disk (that contains those files) in Xiao Pan, I don't know how to access it. (when I connect it in vmware, nothing happens). I can't use wget for getting those files because I am not connected to the internet through vmware.
Ever thought about making a Live USB without the need for VMware? Xiaopan OS does not have apbrowser, at least I can't find. It's possible to install the Opera Browser in Xiaopan.
Well yeah, I have made Live USB and everything is working well if I boot it [no need for changing drivers], but that wasn't my point. I am trying to make things work in vmware, to install older drivers for my usb dongle without wget. Guess I'll have to edit the ISO and add such drivers (if possible ?). Cheers
