Hello, great OS, I installed using VMWare 9 and it worked perfectly but its not recognizing my WIFI Card!I have ALFA awus036nhr
When I click the feeding bottle, all the options are Unavailable! :( Please help!
    thanks!

Also if I can ask a question, On BackTrack r2, when I use Reaver with my wifi card and use the "Wash -i mon0" option, it only displays 802.11.n networks! no 802.11.g

Do you have any clue why is that? thank you so much and sorry for my long message.

Did you Format the USB drive to ext3?

Doing so may resolve the issue.

I'm not sure if the chip-set that NHR uses is fully supported.

I recommend seeking council, at the official Backtrack forum.

Is the adapter recognized by the OS, can you see the Wireless interface when you type "ifconfig -a" without quotes?

I need more details on the setup you are using.

with ifconfig isn't recognised the usb card.By the way its 722n not 721.The high gain with antenna. The only place which i can find the device is the "hardware detection and configurations" after the "discover pci/usb devices".But nothing after that again.I'm thinking i must reinstall the drivers but i 'm newbie and i dont know what can a do.

For updates etc. i'm thinking to make a bridge with windows to have internet access.Just like the backtrack but with tha same settings on virtual machine i dont have connection.

My setup is windows 7 64 bit, virtual machine player the latest version, usb wifi TP Link 722n,usb wifi TP Link 821(on windows).

I have try backtrack 5 rc2,rc3,xiaospan OS 0.4.4 with success.

Update:Sorry guys but finally i've change setting on VM and i got connection with internet via NAT bridge.Still remain the driver problem......

Step 1:Create a VM to run the Xiaopan-OS SliTaz v2, with >=512 RAM
Step 1a: Mount the XiaoPan-OS-SliTaz_v2.iso image into the VM created in "Step 1:"
Step 1b: Start the VM created in "Step 1:"

Step 2: Attach the USB drive to the VM created in "Step 1:"
    Step 2a: Run gparted
Step 2b: Select your USB drive Format to ext3

Step 3: Run "Create a LiveUSB"
Step 3a: "Applications" > "System Tools" > "Create a LiveUSB"

If you need more assistance in creating the Live USB:

    Use Google.

Step 1: place Wallpaper image into SliTaz OS

Step 2: Edit pcmanfm configuration file
    Step 2a: leafpad /root/.config/pcmanfm/main
Step 2b: Under the "[Desktop]" section, modify "wallpaper=" to match the exact location of wallpaper image placed into OS in "Step 1:"
Step 2c: Save the modified configuration file

    Step 3: Restart Openbox
    Step 3a: Right-click on Desktop > Openbox > Restart

Sounds a little narrow minded from Xcell's part in my opinion, but I am sure he didn't mean the way it sounded. He was polite in his request. We are all friends here :)
