I downloaded the 13gb dictionary from this forum seens it's going to take forever... What are my chances of cracking a pass with a dictionary that big? Thanks a lot!
You're actually better off, using Reaver to brute force an AP's Registrar PIN. DIC attack could take months or years, depending on the complexity of the pass phrase. Using a dictionary file still isn't guaranteed to yield a pass phrase. Brute forcing a AP PIN will 100% guarantee a pass phrase and its quicker than any other method to date. I downloaded the 13gb Dictionary file but i don't know how to load them in xiaopan. I need to find a thread that teaches how to do that. :O
Well you really need to know your target... ISP and MAC address helps: https://xiaopan.co/forums/threads/crack-wpa2-know-your-target.2030/ this can narrow down the possibilities of possible combinations if the default password and / or SSID is used. Personally, my success is around 10% to hack with a dic. But you should attack networks that are more vulnerable. Been discussed many times morpheous https://xiaopan.co/forums/search/6330/?q=add+dictionary&o=date&c[node]=29
there are only 2 % you can have with a dic attack 0% and 100% i had a 45 gig dic file i would suggest running crunch with pyrite your now 100% gonna get the password the only thing is how long will it take? so reaver if it works is number 1 number 2 is crunch with pyrite and 3rd is dic attack reason being most dic files are not even made correctly i would suggest you run a 8-64 only check on that dic file then take out all of the same words or doubles u will find it drops its size by like 5 gigs (i had the same file if its from this site) then add in numbers 00000000-999999999 and u will be ok =)
The only tool I'm able to cracks wpa is Reaver... Using minidwep I was able to get the handshake, but still don't know how to save the cap file into my usb stick... Please teach me, I've never heard pipline and cowpatty .. Please help Thanks!
