You are right the v-lx does not. So i will just have to use patched kext files it seams as there is no other easy way to patch bios with a moded bios?
I could not use Flashback as our MB does not support it. I have the V LX just like you. Read first post and use PMPatch. List of ASUS Motherboards that support USB Flashback • P9X79 DELUXE • P9X79 PRO • P9X79 • SABERTOOTH X79 • Rampage IV Extreme • Rampage IV Formula • Rampage IV GENE • P9X79WS • P8Z77-M • P8Z77-V PRO • M5A99X EVO R2.0 • Z87-PRO • M5A97 R2.0 • P8Z77-I DELUXE • SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 - ASUS • H87-PRO Just some research by myself with Google and ASUS. Not sure if there are more. Probably, if you come accross some let me know and I will update the list. Highly recommend the P8Z77-V LX BIOS 2204 update: Improve memory stability. http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8Z77-V_LX/P8Z77-V-LX-ASUS-2204.zip

Yay, update to 10.9.2 worked well for AUS P8Z77-V LX. Simple update procedure as follows: 1. Repair Permissions using the Disk Utility or supply the following code in Terminal: Code: Select All sudo diskutil repairPermissions / 2. Download Multibeast 6.1.0 and place it on your desktop Downloads - tonymacx86.com 3. Backup your current installation using Time Machine and/or Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper; 4. Download the combo update. Not through Mac App Store! (recommend downloading and using the Combo Update) 5. Reboot; 6. Run MultiBeast for Mavericks and just select your audio driver to install and TRIM (if you have a SSD drive). See screenshot. 7. Reboot 8. Repair Permissions again Code: Select All sudo diskutil repairPermissions /
Hey. I have changed the settings in the UEFI BIOS Setup Utility to best match the images you posted. I am trying to use the Niresh iso distro of mavericks because I do not have a mac available to create my own. I burned the iso to a usb, and tried to boot. I get a black screen with a flashing underscore in the top left corner. I waited for 10 mins and nothing happened. Please help. (I did not patch my BIOS) Motherboard: Asus B85-PLUS
Seems like you cross posted http://www.niresh12495.com/topic/2385-help-with-asus-b85-plus-niresh-109-install/ @kieranballard2 You do not need a Mac to create your own (I had to use VMware workstation and Mac OS X to create my bootable USB installer. Seems like you are missing quite a few steps here...

Hi! Sorry for replying a month later, but is there a patched version of the UEFI P8b75-m motherboard? And how would I flash it? My motherboard does not have flashing capabilities.
Successfully installed OS X Mavericks on my built: Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V Pro CPU: i5 3570k Onboard graphics hd4000 Every thing is working fine except onboard Wi-Fi. Any idea how to get it worked?
hey about to embark on this journey here but i want to ask a quick question? do you have to repair the permissions every time you update the os??
Code: Select All sudo diskutil repairPermissions / paste this in terminal for repairing permissions, you only have to do it when have altered the filesystem i.e when you've added a kext or removed one, or patched one.
word! thank you. I havent even started. gathering as much info as i can first. asus maximus vi hero, I5 4690k, 16gb gskill ripjaws, raedon r7 240, ssd. planning to run it for music production and video editing. with planned upgrade later. def let me know what you think in terms of the build for the purpose and if you for see any problems? Im def BEGINNING here so please bare with me. this def made it clear and im going with myhack. seems less problematic. Peace and one love, ill be posting results obviously chums XD
Should be fine the radeon graphics might be a little problem but nothing major. I'd use clover over chameleon it's a bit of a steep learning curve but much more mac, also wouldn't bother with distro's if using for music just use a install from macstore (vanilla). Audio should work, just need to install patched kext, wouldn't bother with multibeast for it just install the kext.
I need the graphics obviously for video editing obviously. sound isnt as much of an issue as it will all be processed externally. my alesis board, and akai eie for travel and a roland ua-1000. the sound ports will not be used as it all connects usb. if i was going to, and im not, id buy a particular sound card i looked but it isnt necessary. dunno if this changes anything i should have stated it from the get go. apologize. --- Double Post Merged, 19 Aug 2014 --- im unsure what the difference is in clover and chameleon? also what is a distro? sorry for newbishness
