Hi, I tried using different versions of Xiaopan (0.3.7.1 , 0.4.1, 0.4.2, 0.4.3, 0.4.5, 0.4.7) with my wifi card TP-LINK TL-WN722N (USB) but it doesn't recognise it or i'm doing something wrong or i didn't configured somthing. I'm using Xiaopan in VirtualBox 4.3.6. It's the first time I use Virtual Box and Xiaopan. I installed the extension pack for using USB 2.0 in Virtual Box. In Virtual Box I configured: *General: Type: Linux Version: Ubuntu (also tried "Linux 2.6/3x (64bit)" and "other Linux") * Net/Device 1: Connected to:"Bridge-adapter" Name: "TP-LINK 150Mbps Wireless Lite N Adapter" Type: "PCnet-FAST III (Am79C973) Promiscuous mode: "Permit everything" Cable connected (checked up) *USB Enable USB device (checked up) Enable USB 2.0 device EHCI (checked up) Once Xiaopan is running, I go to Devices/USB Devices and check up mi wifi card that appears like "ATHEROS USB2.0 WLAN [0108]". Then it makes the noise when you disconnect a device and when you reconnect, it but the green led that is normally flashing doesn't lit up, it seems that is powered off. In Virtual Box USB Devices it appears checked up. I Also tried disconnecting the wifi card, run Xiaopan, and when it finished loading, then connect the wifi card again, but didn't worked. Please, someone who knows help me. Thanks.
Hi ale21 Xiaopan leatest version works with this model of tp link I owned this model but you only can use with Minidwep-gtk with Inflator and other applications not working this model have Ateros chipset for fully compatibility to all application use RTL 8187L based card cheers ... edit: use Xiaopan on bootable usb not in virtual machines to not have other issues
In virtual box you need to install the extension pack just google it "Sorry see you have it installed". Also bridged connections will only use your os internet connection, you need to add you card under ports>usb then safely remove hardware from windows before you can use it in virtual box "click on the usb icon in task bar in windows". Also i tend to run virtual box as sudo or run as admin in windows.
Yes, I have installed the extension pack. So if I configure Virtual Box well it would work? It's ok the Net configuration I posted above? How do I add my card under ports/usb ? When I look in Ports/USB it asks for the following: Port nº: IRQ: Port I/O: Port mode: Create tube (unchecked) Port/archive root: Where i can find this information? Once I've added the usb port, I safely remove the card, run Xiaopan as admin, then plug in the card, select Devices/ USB Devices/ "ATHEROS USB2.0 WLAN [0108]". And that's all, it should work? If I use it in bootable usb instead of Virtual Box, it would work without any problems? I need to use Inflator
inflator will not work with your card when scan shows 0-aps found, is not suported, only minidwep-gtk works well with that card
Use usb live it is a lot less problems than vm, inflator should work check the logs in the tmp folder for errors.
