I am beginner I am using xiaopan 0.4.7.2 in VMplayer workstation 10 It just can't detect my wireless card. i am using TL-WN72N. Can anyone help me? That wireless card has couple of versions. From V1 to V4. V1 and 2 use RT3070 which works with Xiaopan. V3 uses RT5370 chip which isnt suited for wireless auditioning. Same goes for V4 as it uses MediaTek MT7601U chip.
Version 1 of the wireless card. TP link has different versions of same wireless cards. Here is a link on how to determine which version of hardware do you have. http://www.tp-link.com/en/Article/?id=46 As for good hardware for wireless penetration testing Alfa cards are among the most popular ones but some TP Link cards are also good like TL-WN722N
My TL-WN727N is in version 4. What should i do ? Can you please teach me?? or buy a new usb wireless driver? Thanks
