yes already google but cannot found the answer...in xiaopan 0.4.2.3 everything is ok...however in 0.4.3 mindwep-gtk can scanning, after scanning there is no ap in the box...it seem like the box is highlighted the ap... there is no problem in feedingbottle...i can scan and found all the ap... --- Double Post Merged, 4 Sep 2012 --- found another problem...when using feedingbottle, after get the AP, try to attack using P0841 Reply Attack, error came out "Attack was unsuccessfull (Wait airodump-ng error)"...anyone having this problem... --- Double Post Merged, 5 Sep 2012 --- never mind...already got the answer...the problem is even though xiaopan 0.4.3 can detect my wifi card RTL3070, I still have to replug and plug in again my adapter to make sure the application can read the adapter...not very useful...maybe I maintain using version 0.4.2.3...
Oh so it sometimes does not detect your adapter. I wonder if it would help if you have it plugged in before you start or trying after it boots? Also the 3070 is a Ralink (RT) not Realtek (RTL).

I had the same issue with the sound, I have an HP G72 laptop and wow, it's like it turned on the built in mic and the speakers to "listen" to the mic, so I'm just getting really really loud feedback. I can't figure out how to mute the audio.. I didn't leave it on long enough to see smoke but my laptop sure smelt "warm". I saw the screen shot on the first post with the audio mixer, but I don't know how to access it, and I don't have much time once it boots up..
Hi everyone, I decided to join and test 0.4.3 version. My config is I'm running Xiaopan under VMware machine. So, first issue I've encountered as soon as I boot up 0.4.3 - can't power up and switch to monitor mode my usb alfa-like adapter at RTL8187L because of well known error Code: Select All Operation not possible due to RF-kill . rfkill list command says something like that: Code: Select All 1: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 2: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no [B]Hard blocked: yes[/B] So, Google answers that this bug can be healed by applying rfkill unblock all but for me it doesn't work. The only way I could get over this issue after hours of reading internet forums: Code: Select All rfkill block all rmmod rtl8187 modprobe rtl8187 rfkill unblock all After that rfkill list reports that no any Hard blocks and I finally could switch to monitor mode. Noteworthy that replugging the USB lot of times was unsuccessful. Almost always RFKILL. But even withstood all this stuff and finally consequently started airmon-ng start mon0, after airodump-ng and finally aireplay-ng I met another one everybody "liked" bug - Code: Select All mon0 is on channel -1, but the AP uses channel X . I've read that the only way to solve this - make some driver patching, but while I am newcomer in Linux, I'm still confused how it should be performed and moreover, it seems to me if I'm running under VMware - will patching be cancelled after reboot or powering off the virtual machine? So, finally, I have 2 bugs with 0.4.3: either RFKILL bug and inability switch monitor mode or even if you go through it, mon0 always stuck at channel -1. By the way, I made the live-USB and tried to boot it and faced with known bug about which guys reported - nasty HF noise from my speakers so I even haven't checked is my integrated Atheros AR9285 supported and wha't going on with RTL8187. I disappointed at all.
psymin I suggest you plug in and mount in VMware your ALFA usb device before it boots up. How cheap did you buy this adapter? there are some real nasty ones out there. I have tested Xiaopan on VMware 8.0, Parallels Workstation / Desktop and can say that the rtl8187L should work right out of the box. and I got once this! some ruters is not vulnerable to this attack and stucking on 90.90% try to crack another ruter this is not vulnerable to Reaver!!

I can't answer that question there is no right settings, it is trial and error and depends on your distance to the AP and the AP itself. Specify -vv for detailed errors.
looks great and all, but 2 bad it doesnt work with my AWUS036NHR (RTL8188RU) hope that gets fixed soon cause most of us have this awsome usb adapter
