Please try the new Xiaopan 0.4.7.2 :psy

Ok, so have you tried 0.4.7.2 and it is missing something or you can think of a great addition to it?

Check out the extensions for ideas if you don't have any already: http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/downloads.html

I have heard of one person wanting a battery status indicator for his laptop. Another is working on implementing Reaver Pro into Xiaopan.

Let us know here. Discuss :)

They have also released a Skype Chat plugin for Pidgin, unetbootin is available also and the python framework has seen regular updates (which could prove to be very useful for Reaver Pro) :)

Also because Tiny Core does not have a good development base and there are so many issues should we move to another linux distro as a base? Something under 200mb would be ideal.

Any suggestions let us know and post any pictures of pretty desktops of distros, some stats, pros and cons. :)

This is my opinion...i much prefer ubuntu cause u know, it has latest compat wireless not like tiny core linux. If we can remove something that is unneeded, so the size can fit into a cd. Maybe we can remove until the size is 300mb?

This is what i found interesting and nice interface

I have taken a look on slitaz, it looks pretty cool and is just a 35mb iso! also, seems like we can install .deb files on it by converting (not tried yet,but i will)
    Thanks for suggestion! :)

damn small linux is good too, because it is based on debian.. (the last time i checked..) , ubuntu is too big, we want xiaopan os become a smaller distro for penetration, 'smaller' is the main difference we have compare to backtrack or any penetration OSes (which is mainly based from ubuntu, not all but mainly) , puppy linux is good too, futhermore it has many forked version of it.. so it good to pay attention on this distro

Yeah, you're right. there is a slitaz version with aircrack installed (an old one) but i think we can use the newest release 4.0 as base for the next xiaopan release

1st, we need to find a distro that realy small..
2nd, it must has a lot user or wellknown (and has a big repo)
3rd it must work well with flash..

so, what distro is the most suitable for our next base..?

hello guys, i think everyone knows bout puppylinux right..? seems i found some puplet (forked from puppylinux) namely 'pussy'.. yeah i know the name lil bit.... emm.. i dunno, but the best thing bout it, it use apt-get command because it is based on debian, and have synaptic manager.. but the cons is, it bigger than tcl, which is 250mb.. i didnt know if we can stripped it down and make it more smaller, but i will give it a try soon.. here the link for more information..
