@Champ37 Ok let us go thru this step by step. YOU MUST HAVE TINYPAW INSTALLED - NOT LIVE First you should've downloaded this extension: rtl8812au.tcz *do not unsquash* Then copy the file once downloaded into your (*/tce/optional/) directory. Open your "onboot.lst" located in your (*/tce/) directory and add this line at the bottom: rtl8812au.tcz *add an extra empty line after the above entry* Save the change to your onboot.lst Reboot
its up to you, earlier i had it in monitor mode, but it didnt find any ap's, but that was on 4.15. kernel, ill find the link one sec this is the one im messing with https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8812au.git
@Champ37 Not recommended to use kernel drivers compiled for different kernel versions? If TP build is running kernel 4.14.10 then you should only use or compile 4.14.10 drivers
@Champ37 do you still have the downloaded file "rtl8812au.tcz" don't worry about squash or unsquash - do you have the one single file named "rtl8812au.tcz"
or can i ju st delete the file and start over? --- Double Post Merged, 1 Nov 2018, Original Post Date: 1 Nov 2018 --- yes i also have a squashfs-root file --- Double Post Merged, 18 Dec 2018 --- i been looking for this thread for 3 weeks
