I downloaded iso of xiaopan version 0.4.4.3 (beta ?) and burned it on 700MB cd. Then I booted the PC from the CD drive. The boot process started as expected (multi colored lines written on screen, below a _graphic_ icon which announces which type of basic linux is used). After about 15 lines written on the screen, the screen changes suddenly to sort "console" screen: text mode, a short text of about 10 ascii "letters" written in the upper left corner, linux commands like "cd" "ls" "sudo" seems to work. Looks like the boot enters "text" mode because it cannot enter "graphic" mode. What should I do to enter graphic mode.
graphic mode........try to make bootable usb or with vmware (if u dont want to use it for internal) and maybe some screenshot so we can detect the problem here
Boot from USB works (VMWARE too complicated for me). However: signals are much weaker than those via BEINI 1.2.2 OS, therefore IVs dumping too slow to be practical. Also many bugs in youe OS which freeze activity in many ways. I hope to get from china USB WIFI adaptor with better signal reception in three weeks (if passed through customs ), may be this will help.

im already tested xioapan 0.4.3.iso and make bootable using usb,,,nothing problem,,try it using linux usb creator,,,make sure all the trafic light turn to green light,,and you done,,,sees another tthread for another help,,
Maybe you burned your CD at full speed, burn an iso to CD that way causes wrong data, if you want to try again with a new cd, burn the iso at minimmum speed possible (4x should work fine) and post results. so we can state your post as "SOLVED"
hey ,, using vmware also can iit virtual machine. Yyou running windows and u can using vmware and play it through,,sometime usb or cd not proprely good,,so try using vmware,,free download there 5version. Try it, might be of help, peace

how about you use linux live usb creator...u can google it. ok I tried downloading that, finally got empty fat32 usb.downloaded xiapan and opened with 7zip then put it on the cd i want to create.ran linuxliveusb and when choosing xiapoan download i read:this linux is not in the compatibility list.when running it i get message: file is corrupted.I had downloaded unitboot and ultraiso and tried it with that before but that does not work either.....please stop laughing
Hello cliffbird sorry you are having issues. Now 1. Extract the contents with 7zip or winRAR (ensure that you downloaded the file in it's entirely and enter the correct password..if there is one) 2. Format your USB stick as FAT32 3. Follow the USB tutorial - Allow it to detect the best distro. Doesn't matter if it is not in the compatibility list, it will work - Ensure you have the latest version - Did you try running it LIVE or through VirtualBox or Both? If you are getting corrupted errors it means that the ISO is corrupted. Are there any errors in UltraISO when you open it? If so, download it again and try steps 1 to 3. Never heard that happening before. Can you reformat? How big is this USB? Is it 32gb or over? is it old? slow? any possibility it is a fake / flashed device indicating more space than it actually is? 1. Insert the USB 2. Type devmgmt.msc in the search box 3. Click My Computer in the Device Manager 4. Scan for hardware changes 5. Check to see in the list of USB devices to see if that did the trick 6. If it didn't delete the problem driver and scan for hardware changes again You could also try via command prompt using DISKPART Code: Select All DISKPART list disk select disk # clean create partition primary select partition1 active format FS=FAT32 assign exit or use: Code: Select All format FS=NTFS If it is over 32GB you will have to make a partition (virtually two drives with one USB).
