This is a simple way to create a Live USB for Xiaopan OS.

If you are using a live USB by burning the ISO with unebootin 309 and following the tutorial provided here and you are having issues, here is a solution for you:

    1. Download LiLi USB Creator Portable latest version (click on the image)

    2. Use the following options displayed here:

:) I hope this help you. Greetings! ;)
Note: The persistence feature only works for Ubuntu

Note 2: By checking the box "Enable launching LinuxLive directly in windows" will be able to virtualise through virtualbox which is installed automatically in your USB drive (needs an internet connection).

When I press the lightning it says to validate step 1 to 3...
When I choose the iso source it says that This linux is not in the compatible...

    What I'm missing?

I think what you are missing is: Follow steps from 1 to 5 ( not 5 to 1 )

You can get latest version here: http://www.linuxliveusb.com/en/download

    LiLi 2.8.16
    http://download.tuxfamily.org/lilicreator/stable/LinuxLive USB Creator 2.8.16.exe

LiLi 2.8.16 Final - Portable Edition (.zip file)
    http://download.tuxfamily.org/lilicreator/stable-portable/LinuxLive USB Creator 2.8.16.zip

Can I install or use Portable VirtualBox manually?

Yes, you can and it's really easy.

    1) download Portable VirtualBox
    2) Unpack it to the root of your USB key
    3) Then run Virtualize_This_Key.exe to directly launch your Linux in Windows or use VirtualBox.exe to display the full VirtualBox interface

    Notes
    • This will work with ANY LinuxLive USB key
    • No need to be created from LinuxLive USB Creator
    • Obviously, no support will be given if you did not use LinuxLive USB Creator to create your USB key

    Portable-VirtualBox 4.1.14

Better if you run it as "Live USB" it mean Boot your PC/Laptop from USB by pressing F2/F12 key after you have pressed the on/off button(deppends on your machine) must appear a Boot Menu, next, select your USB Key.
    Ready

Greetings, can't get this to work... It prepares the thumb drive but on re-boot I just get the "grub" prompt and cant get any farther. Did I miss something. I used the other method and can boot into Xiaopan (GUI) but then there are no wifi adapters. Using Acer One netbook w/ Win 7. What did I miss.... I would read up but don't know where to look.

    Multiboot USB Alternative: YUMI Pendrive

As an alternative, and just as easy, giving you the possibility to add many distros and tools to your USB bootable thumbdrive is using YUMI (free). For Windows users download latest version here. Linux core users, no worries on the website you will find other useful tools as well. A great thing about YUMi Multiboot is it offers the option to fetch and download distros for you, from the program, but for Xiaopan you need to download it yourself first.

How to Create a MultiBoot USB Flash Drive
    1. Dowload Xiaopan OS (as *.iso)
    2. Downlaod and run YUMI-0.0.X.X.exe
    3. Following the onscreen instructions choose Tiny Core as a distro, and browse for Xiaopan.iso *
    4. Run the tool again to Add More ISOs/Distributions to your Drive, or else press finish.
    5. Restart your PC setting it to boot from the USB device (F12, F8, F2 etc.)
    6. Select a distribution to Boot from in the Menu (in this case Tiny Core) and enjoy!
    * Browse to your directory where your iso is. Because it's looking for TinyCore, Xiaopan *.iso won't show up ; simply bypass this by typing in the full name of your file (e.g. Xiaopan 0.4.5.2.1.iso)

Note: In your multinoot menu, you can change the menu name Tiny Core to Xiaopan by going into your USB's multiboot>menu folder and editing the Linux.cfg and Xiaopan.cfg files. Replace Tiny Core with Xiaopan in text.

    well here is my problem:
when i try to boot the usb my computer doesn't seem to recongise the usb as a bootable usb- even though i changed the priority of the boot ing devices so the usb would be the first..im not sure what is the problem but ist possible that its because xiaopan isnt in the compatibilty list of lili usb creator? or ist just my motherboard ?
