So.. I have been getting bombarded by Microsoft Surface (their new iPad killer) and Harvey Norman ads with those Californian Hipsters. All I see is a very wishy washy click, move, detach and swipe in Windows 8. It doesn't look particularly useful and practical. I am aware it can run anything (office, acrobat and all those other essential Win programs) which makes it more appealing for those buying a tablet. Has anyone tried or will you buy Windows 8 or the Surface? YouTube VideoWatch this video on YouTube. It is Windows 7 for me followed closely by Windows XP. Vista was the worst, along with 2000 and the millennium edition.

i hate windows 8 its a peace of **** nuff said i have 3 copys and they just do not work so much so i am tossing them right now however if you have a tablet it seems really nice (i dont) i'll stick with 7
I tried Windows 8 a few months back..I hate it..don't like it at all. Windows 7 has been the best one so far(to me at least)
Windows 8 is the best for me ...if have money, definitely will but this tablet.......if u not try it...u cannot said about it......much better than windows 7 for me
you know what..I think that Windows 8 is more for anything with touch screen...I seen someone with a touchscree HP laptop and it was cool the way it functions but not on a regular laptop/desktop. So on a tablet, yes, it would be pretty cool. :yes

Maybe you tried it in the Beta fase, we know that beta OS's still having bugs and all... I agree with you, I installed Win 8 pro in 4 ciber coffe pc's & my mini lap. results... people want to use the win 8 pc's more than the win 7 pc's :yes . I heared a lot of times: oh! Win 8, cool !! I just checked the link you gave.. inside thepiratebay, I click again the GET TORRENT and a window pop-up "External Protocal Request" and I clicked both "launch... / do nothing" and that's it, nothing else.... link is not working..?
Interestingly it appears that Windows 8 is marginally (just a bit) faster than Windows 7 in most things. http://www.techspot.com/review/561-windows8-vs-windows7/page2.html Keep in mind that the post is from August, so Windows 8 might get a little bloated with all those notorious windows updates and not be as fast as before.
