SILICA Virtual Machine

Well I'm home now and got it to go into recovery mode but hit one snag..... when I go to the root option it says "Give root password for maintenance (or type Control-D to continue)".... I am unable to type anything in. Anyone had any luck??

 

sweet I think I got it to work I changed all the unix passwords to the same one lol

 

no password, how to use it ?

 

there is no root password, just use - sudo passwd and change to whatever u wish... got my Zydas working with the VM, but still get a message -
Verifying USB ID for interface wlan0
Failed matching USB ID of wireless card

You can see all the stuff installed with this -
dpkg --get-selections
- I don't know what is this activation doing - might be downloading
programs from their server, because I don't see any important programs
inside this Ubuntu. On their web site, they recommend some 30 USD wifi
card. More and more looks to me like time waisting.

 

the users i found was user and silicau and i did
passwd user
passwd silicau
then i changed the unix to what i wanted it to be.

 

i can do what ever i want but when i click on the two silica apps on the desktop i get a login screen havent tried to mess with that yet but ill try tonight and let you know.

 

I have an error as below I used TL-WN821N usb
Trying to find interface index for iface: wlan0
Verifying USB ID for interface wlan0
Failed matching USB ID of wireless card

please suggest me for wireless usb supported.
