i had from more the 4 years the 036h it's was great & work very good but now it's stopped worked any more , i don't now why ?! i read that the best adapter for hacking still 036h or 036nh i am confused what to buy now ? the 036h for the second time or the 036 nh it's Important for me the long range sensitivity & catch big number of ap's & work great with kali & wifislax what about the 036nh it's good like the 036 for hacking , injection , reaver etc
I recommend getting the new AWUSO36H v5 You can buy it form Rokland on Ebay It runs great much better then the older versions, best version yet.
They both will find around the same number of networks, although the 036H is claimed to be more sensitive per se, the 036NH has no problems hacking either while still being useful on N networks without killing the speed to 11b rates (the only problem you may encounter is having to boot linux before plugging the adapter in for it to be recognised), then there is also the 051NH or 036NHA that are fully hacking capable as well given the right conditions like wanting to explore 5Ghz (051NH) or all 6 wireless modes (036NHA). While an 036H is fine for hacking, and is the cheaper option, the chipset is dog old and slow and the drivers to actually use it from the post Win XP era don't stand well, and haven't been updated in years. Stay away from 036NHR, 036NHV and the AC adapters for hacking purposes, as they work poorly if at all for hacking.
thanks for the reply i read in some threads that the 036nha & 51nh there range not good & there signals was very weak ?! now i need a final decision to buy the new adapter ? 036nh vs 036h what's the best choice for the antenna the 7 dbi panel or 9 dbi omni ? & why the prices in amazon is much more then ebay ? the 036h with 5 dbi antenna & 7 dbi panel antenna= 33$ ? 036nh with 5 dbi antenna & 7 dbi panel antenna = 40$ ?
Because on ebay the risk is higher for getting a knockoff clone esp. for the 036H. The 7dbi panel is better than a 9dbi omni since it's directional somewhat. With a 9dbi omni you see more networks but the SNR goes down as it picks up more interference and noise. The 036NH has less driver hassles and supports N. I've still grabbed handshakes with 051NH and 036NHA. while 036NHA and 036H is somewhat better/robust than an 036NH for reavering duties although the 036NH can still do reavering too. In Europe all adapters top out at 20dbm anyway so it doesn't really matter much which you buy for purely output power, but they are different and serve different purposes in other ways.
i see many comparisons that the 036nh it's less sensetive like the 036h that have more sensetive for the signals therefore the 036h it's better then the 036nh what do you think about that .. i will buy the 036h agian for this reason
