Alfa AWUS036H not recognizing as 8187L

    Purchased an Alfa AWUS036H 1000mw several months ago. Installed the latest AWUS036H drivers from Alfa's website. Problem is, in device manager AND in the ALFA Wireless LAN utility, my device shows up as an RTL8187, NOT an RTL8187L.

    Furthermore, when I use RTLUI2.exe to change my Tx Power setting, anything higher than 10dbm results in a significant decrease in traffic throughput...

    I'm pretty sure the device is authentic but I've included photos in case you can spot something I missed.

    I had all of these issues on windows 10, then downgraded to windows 7 and still have all the exact same issues. Should I be using a different driver? Modifying some ini somewhere? What gives! Any thoughts on the matter? Thanks!
