Remington , i dont know as right now AR9271 cannot use with windows 8..............if RTL8187L has the realtek utility...but my friend can install driver for NHR in windows 8 but cannot use it
Personally i think you are better off just using the driver (if one is available) than the utility. Those driver links from Softpedia for the NHA are old, from May 2010 so I don't think they will work for Win8 since they are 1 year older than the AR9271 drivers I have (2011-06-18). I just need the driver not utility.
Are you using 32bit or 64bit? There are two different INF files to get it to work. 32bit INF file (netathur.inf) from Atheros driver version 9.2.0.19 [24 KB] 64bit INF file (netathurx.inf) from Atheros driver version 9.2.0.19 [23 KB] Win7-9.2.0.1.9 Download [33mb] If none of that works, you might have better luck with driverpack. It has done wonders for me in the past:http://drp.su/ Also I have looked around WikiDev and found many vendors that use the AR9271 chipset: Click here You can look up those manufacturers and might be able to find a win 8 compatible driver. Ubiquiti are renowned for using the latest drivers, so you might be in luck there. Ya those top links are where I got the drivers already. Notice the date is the same as what I posted. 2011-06-18. I also have the Wiki drivers nothing is newer than 2011. So unless I hear from someone that has a NHA working on 8 I'll just assume they won't work. Thanks anyway.
