Any way set TX power on the AWUS036NHA (= AR9271 ) in any Windows version to do >100mW/20dBi ever?

    Hi!

This question has probably come to many people's minds - there are ways reported in Linux to freely configure the TX power of the AWUS036NHA (= AR9271) and other adapters on Linux.

Linux seems to have its fair amount of issues with the AR9271 driver (known as ATH9K) with sporadic USB disconnects though, so if someone is on Windows already anyhow, attempting such a custom solution that doesn't work anyhow is like too much - I've seen USB disconnect more frequent than once per second on Linux. ..

So, is there any way to configure the TX power on Windows?

Last, for the sake of correctness, my understanding is that all these adapters are pre-set to 20dBi = 100mW , for instance like mine because it's pre-set to the GB region. I.e., the product declaration of a max 630mW power is *not in use whatsoever* unless there's a configuration setting somewhere to switch that on.

If anyone sees anything to correct about this understanding please do so :)

    Thanks!
