I have just brought a ASUS N-13 adapter, but I am unlucky that the XiaopanOS cannot detect my wireless card. It come with a support CD. It also support linux. Can anybody help me? N-13 Specs : Networking - USB-N13
This adaptor come's in 2 chipsets the ralink or the realtek I guess it's the realtek as the ralink is fully supported. Have a look which one with Code: Select All lsusb also have a look at Code: Select All dmesg to see if there is any errors loading firmware etc.
So is the TP-LINK 727N supported? Cause i gonna buy one more if you tell me it was supported as it was cheap..........
Get something with an external antenna. No point in going cheap as you will need to be close to the AP.
My neighboor is super near with me, i think it was gonna to be enough when my neighboor is close enough that i will get 2 bar , and it will gonna get up to 10mbps, so that i can gain full speed of his internet, anyway is TP-LINK 727N supported? Thank you Mr Penguin in advance.
As i said there are 2 chipsets ASUS USB-N13 rev A1 - WikiDevi The rtl8192cu realtek B1 i would avoid,but the ralink A1 rt2800usb is ok As for the 727n which one TP-LINK TL-WN727N v3 - WikiDevi
I think i got the realtek chipset as the xiaopan os dont recognize my device in virtualbox, even i thicked the USB device. So that means that i need to get a Ralink wireless device? Thank you for your reply
As i said in earlier post look at dmesg to see if there's errors loading firmware, use app browser to download firmware probably firmware-rtlwifi.tcz.
You better buy cards ho is working and tested with xiaopan if you don't want to have problems!! if you want cheap adapter buy: Tp link TL-WN 7200 ND ho has Ralink chip inside and is working with xiaopan and have great power... or, Tp link TL-WN722N ho have Ateros chip inside and also work with Xiaopan, its cheaper but is weaker from 7200 nd that's my suggestion to you
