Hello, I just bought an AWUS036NHR v2 (before I had AWUS036H model and I used it with Backtrack) can someone advise me about best distro for that card...i need to use app like reaver,wifite,aircrack....I'm not very good in terms of linux. Thanks
Search out BEINI 1.2.3/1.2.4 (reaver edition) for less headaches with the 8188RU. The 8188RU in Linux is not plug and play like 036H. Those 2 Beini's are the only solution where the driver shows client associations properly. For something of a full arsenal of tools, my favourite atm for every day use is wifislax 4.7/4.8 where only 8188RU will work for reaver and WEP, not for grabbing WPA handshakes.
