Seems like devices based on the driver carl9170 don't work on the new versions of xiaopan.
The kernel module loads up but can't find the corret firmware to load.

On an earlier older version of xiaopan sometime round a year ago the same device used to work correctly,
Would be great if you could include again the firmware as well in the iso image.

    Thank you

    Thanks for the answer.
That doesn't work, I did try that one.
It either won't install or once installed it won't be found by the dev after carl9170 is loaded and as a result the wifi card won't be recocgnized.
Also that package won't install using tiny core commands for installing packages.
I've used different wifi cards and by far Atheros has had the best results, so don't want ot loose this card.
I even extracted the package and tried to put the firmware by hand on the location where tinycore holds firmware and still did not work.

Have a look at dmesg see what the error or the firmware is called this should be in firmware.tcz really.

Seems we are still using the firmware for the old kernel older versions of xiaopan probably work if they use a older kernel.
This is the right firmware i'll package it up if you need it, i'll re package update the firmware.tcz for the next release sometime.

I just made it into a tcz compressed file and replaced the old firmware-carl9170-gw3887.tcz with it in /cde/optional/
    Works fine.
Thanks for pointing out it was the wrong firmware.
I'm uploading the file for those who might need it.
