Create a Hackintosh with ASUS Motherboards

Sound don't know what chipset your using ?? you need to patch dsdt and hdaaudio.kext
Wifi dont know what chipset your using you need to find the right kext
Sleep there is hundreds of reasons why it is not working ssdt working ok ?
If you expect to just install and go osx on your pc you are sadly mistaken,it takes a lot of work.

 

Theres plenty of guides for that board patched dsdt ssdt bios patch so yes should be easy,as long as you can follow guides, doing it from scratch is a different story.

 

Thanks guy, like my member status state it "newbee" im interesting in this topic so i do research ( what is dsdt, patching and how do i get that kext... all that hackintos word...)and asked question as i go thru the process and im learning....couldnt have done without mr. Penguin and Meknb help...i know it take alot of work...i didnt expect it easyly done like windows...i just hoping to get info and experience from u guy as yah have done it...thats all...

 

Just drop mr P's dsdt into your Extra folder after you unzip it and reboot.
If you got the same audio chipset as mr p ask him for the .kext or if you post your chipsets as have never used this board.

Try this read the read me add to system folder ,repair permissions rebuild kernel cache, or use kext utility.

hi penguin...i finally got all the hardware and followed your guide very carefully...Only thing i had to use PCIRootUID=1 to get to the installer screen..I was able to install it successfully..But after the install it's a real pain to boot it up first time..I tried -x and no help..i just get like the screen split in two with a grey and black screen and it doesn't go further..i am using the Intel HD4000 with core i3 processor..I used myHack method..Right now am getting unibeast ready to give it a try.....Any assistance would be greatly appreciated...Is there anything extra i should do in the Bios?

 

ok i am going to re-install with myHack again.....then take out that desktop hardrive and connect that externally to my fully working hackintosh labtop and look for the smbios.plist on it and then send it to you...Is that correct way to get it? Please let me know...thank you.

well penguin seems like i have made a huge mistake on my end...I ended up deciding to check to see if i could update the bios..so i installed windows OS and loaded the latest bios file and the asus utility said 100% and i rebooted and now it does not boot..it says to insert usb or asus dvd with bios file on it..i did that but nothing still happens..so it seems like i have crashed the bios...I will try to see if i can get an RMA from amazon where i bought it...Thanks for your help and information again.

Hello Mr. Penguin please give me a hand, I can't make function the LAN, when it prompted I chosen "don't use Lan" and I thought to configure later but in network window panel it is empty and I dont have how to put the ip of ethernet...

So i'm stuck since one month ! I've a brand new material and with any bootloader and can't install ML10.8.5 (buy in app store) or Mavericks. So i finally patch my bios with pmpatch and have the result show in this topic. Impossible to start osx anyway !

I have not tested with this method yet. But before i'll do that, i have one question, and if my motherboard was unable to supported osx ?
Like you see, i have an Asus Z77-A model with an intel cpu i7 3770k.

i think many errors was cause my inside gpu give a conflict with my GT640. But, i don't have a VDI connector, i ask it in a computer shop and must wait two weeks to have it. Is that possible to install anyway ? Don't understand why it must connected to a dvi plug...?

Or, if is that the same, i can connect my deskop on a hdmi system (my televisor), please, i think for now i 'm going to sell my desktop cause i have no more solution, after many try, it's such a nightmare for me.

Mr Penguin I have get stuck in safe mode and don't have sound. I have the same mobo than you... But I need a hand... I tried to install the same from multibeast but the prompt attached shows up and I dont know what to do.

 

myhack.kext is on the myhack installation should not use multibeast use one or the other not both. Boot from your myhack usb stick myhack.kext will be in the /extra folder copy it to your system/lib/extensions then rebuild kernel cache.
If you need to remove myhack.kext use the my hack app in applications you need to have power management ect patched to remove it.

1- I have re-installed Maverick OS, get to log in in safe mode
2.- Replaced de Extra file

but I can't get to log in again without safe mode...
don't even get sound because I didn't try multibeast, when I use multibest I get the (img_0242.jpg) posted before

or just drop into kext utility if installed.

You won't get sound until you install a patched kext for your sound chipset and a patched dsdt in your extra folder.
I'd stay away from multibeast it's Cr*p just get the kext from osx86.net and rebuild kernel cache or use kext utility.

Also boot with -v flag for more descriptive errors.

 

Thanks for your advice.. I'll spent some time trying to do what You recomend me..... Because I don't know about rebuild cache(how You do that?).... Sorry for my inexperience
