I'm starting a Hacking digital electric meter thread. This thread is very direct, to save money, so that we need not pay the monthly electric bills ever again! So, how do we hack a digital electric meter, any ideas?

Ok, I share my idea, my idea is to connect directly to the cable (to the part before the meter), I will hide the connection / joint part nicely. Years ago when i was in my first home and could barley pay rent i would record meter numbers at beginning of month and at night turn meter upside down so it would run backwards. I did good for about 7 months then utility company installed a new meter with new lock that i couldnt get into without them noticing. We still dont have digital here yet and you can use strong magnets to " slow" down the wheels but make sure you remove them during the day or youll be caught. Also you can order security bits that will allow u to remove glass and calibrate to slow down the wheels with little chance of being caught if they dont have lock rings around them.
I did that too some time ago (to the old non-digital meter). The old meter is controlled by an aluminium DISC/Wheel, hacking method was easy...>>slowing down the wheel.<< Recently the electric company installed the new digital electric meter, there are no more DISC/Wheel inside, therefore I want to figure out a new method to hack it.
Rempit, Ask around in your area, I'm sure someone is willing to do it for you for a fee. As far as I know, they change/reset the tiny chipset in the digital meter according to your request. As of how they do it I'm not too sure. Example, if you pay RM300 a month and you wanna pay only less than RM100, they will set the digital meter to run only 30% against your actual consumption. For the fees, I heard they charge RM800-1200.

Those who get caught will be fine and being monitor from time to time. Usually the electric company will eye on those big guns such as industrial companies. Normal residential houses will be check at random.
Here it is considered as Federal Crime, people who are caught doing this,have to pay a penalty around of $20,000 pesos (USD $1500 - $1600) or up to 3 years in jail...
