I'm a fluffy noob trying to broaden my network knowledge. I've worked for ten years or so in IT but I'm not hardcore. I thought it was time to really get under the hood and came across BackTrack. I'm putting a box together to run isolated from my network but have been having problems getting my old pcmcia PCI adapter and orinoco_cs to fall into place. I probably will dive in and try driver installs to BT but thought I'ld go the easy route and order an Alpha. Any thoughts on which one would be fit for purpose or can I just go with what fits my pocket? Anyway ramble over. Never posted to a forum before, so hope I've been good.
