Hi, i am using Asus laptop.. I tried bought TP 7200 / 8200 ND wireless adapter but its waste of money cause when i boot my xiaopan via usb, the xiaopan only detect my laptop wireless adapter, i could hack wep (some of it) and i need help, 1.some of the wep i cant hack, the gain is too slow even got 3bar or 4 bar signal, is the wep too good or xiaopan cant crack certain wep? after 3 or 4hr only got around 300-400 {forget what it called} usually around 10k-60k i could get the password and within 20min.. 2. What i need to increase the wifi range? i need to detect more far so i can crack other wifi, i bought the 2 adapter as above, but cant be detected... can i buy only antenna? or what i need? please advise..
You will have your best luck with an Alfa usb wifi adapter and a high gain antenna. The power output and receive sensitivity are far greater than the internal cards. Example, I have a 1 watt alfa card, with a 12 dbi panel antenna, I can see 15 networks, and connect to most of them. With the internal card in my laptop, I can see 4 networks and connect to 3. Having the better adapter and antenna also helps greatly with capturing the weak ivs necessary for making use of the flaws in wep encryption
