I've got a realtek 8723ae and Xiaopan doesn't recognize it. I've got the tar.bz2 drivers for it..now, how do i install those drivers onto Xiaopan while running the liveusb? do I put the file into "optional" folder then somehow navigate to in while using Xiaopan? Idk, I'm very confused what to do..any help is much appreciated

Dual cards "bluetooth and wifi" are a pain to install this is why we mainly support usb, the driver should be in compat wireless you could try
    Code:
    Select All
    modprobe rtl8723ae
but more than likely have a conflict with your bluetooth.

that driver doesn't come with the compat-drivers installed with the OS. I have the drivers on the usb drive in the tc/ folder. how do i install them from that part of my usb drive to the OS?

That driver is in compat but to be honest i wouldn't bother with it, does it support injection? my experience with them is flakey under linux. If you have the source code you will have to build the module and load it with modprobe.
