What you are after is a WiFi exender. Some 3G WiFi hotspot dongles can do it. A good place to start is look at the chipsets of the wifi pineapple and Alfa Hornet boards. AP121 AP121U AR9331 Check out eBay as well
Just have a look for dd-wrt router with usb support, The TL-WR703N is one of the most hackable has a greater range of wifi cards supported, wifi pineapple can be installed and a fraction of the cost of the alfa. Is anyone know if the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND can do the same job like alfa r36 for using the USB port for attaching USB wifi card example RTL8187L card and sharing internet trough his own wireless, or lan cable?? I see that has support for him with dd-wrt and open-wrt software! Is anyone tried this? Be cause I want to buy this router its a little bit expensive but has many functions on him, and is good peas of hardware! Anyone can help??
Just look at the dd-wrt forums and get a cheap second hand one to play around with you might get one half the price of a WR1043ND with all the functions of a alfa r36. My fave is TL-WR703N. Also the WR1043ND reports power dropout with a lot of 3g modems not enough amps so might not be good for wifi cards also.
u mean that it will actually act like this? as the alfa r36 can originally work like this i need tthis system to work actually
