Hi, noob here, with a few questions. Hopefully you won't be annoyed and skip them cause I'd really appreciate help understanding this fine OS.

    1) Should I install Parallels Tools (Mac version)?

    2) Xiaopan reverts everything on shutdown even when choosing 'Virtualization' from the main menu. Is this expected behavior?

    3) I Couldn't find any info regarding TC Exit Backup Options. Is this backup menu a feature for restoring custom settings/changes? Why does it default to 'Backup' but then always report ''Errors Occurred during backup!"? What does "Safe" do? What is "sr0/" for?

    Thanks!

1)Unless you want to mess with your EFI partition it is the only way to run xiaopan on a mac.

2)All your setting changes are saved in your backup as you have errors writing your backup so yes its normal "I might be wrong i always boot live never use parallels" .

3)Probably best click the control panel icon and change your backup location to a location you can write to "probably have to do this every time you boot to restore" i.e. a pen drive would be /mnt/sdaX or something like that.
The errors are because your trying to write you backup to a iso image i think.
The sr0 is the mount point for your cdrom use the mount tool to mount drives as you will probably need to mount your pen drive to backup to.

You can't install Parallels Tools in Xiaopan.

Thanks! If I setup a valid backup location and get that working, do I have to restore each time Xiaopan is started, or is it an automated type of thing?

Is there really anything the average tester needs backed up/saved? Wouldn't live be the best option for occasional reaver/wep testing? I think Parallels can run live?

    Thanks again!
