Fixed Recover Router Password without Brute Force

    Is there a way to recover the router password (192.168.1.1) without brute force or dictionary attack?

    Sometimes you can push the reset button :) Also there are some router specific vulnerabilities. Google the model. There is sometimes an option to view the wifi password in the router settings, depends on the router..

    You don't understand. I do not speak of wifi password, but the password to configure the router.

    Default passwords http://www.routerpasswords.com
    If it's not a default password there may be a backdoor into the settings as mr.p said
    other than that brute force with hydra would be the only way.
