RTL 8188CE PCI-E NIC for Minidwep?

    i got internal RTL 8188CE PCI-E NIC... i run XiaopanOS and it detects it cz i can surf the internet on firefox but its not detected by any other program like midwep-gtk or other why?

    What versiĆ³n are you using? I have a card of that model and it is detected on Xiaopan 0.4.1 but i don't like it because it does not support injection

    i tried 0.4.1 and 0.4.3 and didnt work on the 2 of them... it isnt being detected.

    Have a look and see how your device is set up, type in a terminal
    Code:
    Select All
    iwconfig or ifconfig
    Then you can set it to monitor by typing
    Code:
    Select All
    airmon-ng start wlanX
    wlanX is the name of the device shown by iwconfig or ifconfig.

    How are you using Xiaopan? e.g Live CD,Live USB or through VM.
    I must say, Internal cards won't work on VM environment. (i'm suspecting that's your problem)
    to work with internal cards on Xiaopan (or other) you must run it as Live CD or better yet as Live USB...

    yes im using VMware player... so i think that's the problem... thanks... ill try it via CD or USB...

    thanks you were right ... i made a bootable CD for xiaopan OS and i booted it, the card worked fine! thanks for the advice...
