    Hi all,

Still newbie (one week ago I didn't even knew it was possible to hack WiFi) so please bare with me:)
After many days reading the posts on this form, I bought, installed following things:

-Have a Alfa ...036H, Installed VirtualBox, Installed Xiaopan OS into VirtualBox,....

So far, so good, everything works, except for Xiaopan OS, doesn't find the Alfa Card.
Out of the virtual box the Alfa works perfectly, only in VirtualBox, Xiaopan OS can't find the card!
Now I have tried many, many things,...Changed many settings with no luck.

So can somebody please explain, give me the settings to make this work?
I know there are alternatives, but I really like the GUID of Xiaopan OS, great work guys!

    MacBook Pro, Mavericks 10.9.5
    Alfa 036H
    VirtualBox 4.3.22

MANY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP

    Best Regards,
    Marc.

    Hi meknb,

    Thanks for your help.
Yes I have installed the extension pack, and selected my card under settings>port>usb, but it doesn't work.
Then when I select my card under usb itself, meaning not in settings but down right corner and then select my card, the light of the Alfa then turns off.

Just 32bit will do xiaopan is 32bit , don't think maverick's support this card so no driver's will be installed on os, when xiaopan has booted unplug a replug the card in.
Also check dmesg in xiaopan type it in root shell, if you see any activity you may need to bring the card up
    Code:
    Select All
    ifconfig wlan0 up
    in root shell

    Thx,

I know that there are no drivers available for the Alfa 036H under mavericks because the chipset on the Alfa only runs 32bit, and mavericks is 64bit. But this is a little bit confusing to me, and maybe this is a very stupid question, but how can this then all work.
Meaning every piece of hardware needs a driver to work, right?
So if I don't install a driver under mavericks, how can it then work with xiaopan?
Does xiaopan provides it's own drivers, and do they work separately in a virtual environment from the drivers installed under OS X?

Please if no trouble for you, explain.

xiaopan is a os the drivers are in it, if the drivers where installed on mavericks you would have to uninstall or unload them, as only one os can control the card.

    THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!
Just one more thing I like to ask, because I think I messed up my mac.
How do I unload a driver in xiaopan?

Xiaopan shouldn't touch your mac as for altering driver's etc,in xiaopan to remove driver rmmod to list loaded drivers lsmod to load driver modprobe ,you need the name after the command to load / unload
