I am looking for a more powerful long-range antenna for outdoor use, I found a shop selling ALFA products near my place especially this flat panel 23dBi, has anyone tested with this product before? I wonder how powerful it can be? http://www.alfa.com.tw/in/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=APA-L2414&Category=106149
Well how many dBi is it? The official link claims that it is 14 dBi and the picture is claiming 23dBi. That is a big difference. Also note that the APA-L2414 is an N-Female adapter. This will not bolt straight onto a SMA connector. So you will need a converter.
Hi, If you want to have great antennas at a reasonable price, chose antennas from http://www.interline.pl/. They are great, their antenna designs are far better then the average and the price is fair. About the dBis, at the end of the day it all depends on your wireless card, big antennas (>15dBi) need a lot of power to run. If you don't have an 2W Alfa card or something similar it won't work properly and you'll end up with less signal than with small antennas. About N-Female: This is a very common connector in antennas, they use it because it's cheap and the signal loose is very low. You can buy cables to convert it to SMA in almost every wireless shop.
hello, I bought this antenna. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...eless-18dBi-2-4-GHz-802/804907_454592989.html it is a very good antenna and receive real 18db I have several antennas built and tested and this is the best I have.
How about the http://www.alfa.com.tw/in/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=AGA-5828T&Category=105463 (AGA-5828). Claims its 28dBi and to get more power for better signal you can add the PoE (power over ethernet) and connect it to an ALFA card or Ubiquity bullet or even to the R36 Extender (http://www.alfa.com.tw/in/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=R36&Category=0) NB: I don't work for alfa. lol I just love their products.
Yeah they have a full range of antennas, I also like the outlook too. I will click their online purchase later to find out how they ship to southeast asia countries...
