Jan 8, 2021 1:50 PM - r1sen: r00ted and unlocked pine if I had to say. easily flashed rom as well as multi sim and network compatibility
Jan 8, 2021 1:53 PM - r1sen: here is the thing, if you don't care about cell carrier and sim compatibility why even bother with a phone? a small 7" tablet would go much further if all you care about is daisy chaining wifi donlges, if an actual cell carrier compatible device that can still piggy back on a network is what you want that can use andrax or nethunter, pine I would suggest, pine, deb, or ubuntu phones
Jan 8, 2021 1:56 PM - r1sen: If you have never r00ted a propriatary phone sing adk or anything of the like.. it's not for the faint of heart and modern crap companies.. you will most likely brick your device. I can say with a certainty do not use any type of rooting smartphone app or service. Use an adk flavor on your host system
    Jan 8, 2021 7:24 PM - Pazs: Thanks for the infos r1sen!
Jan 8, 2021 11:04 PM - r1sen: Of course! I love hearing others expanding their knowledge, skill and risking trying new things and techniques :)
Jan 9, 2021 1:20 AM - Pazs: So in your opinion it would be wiser not to install Andrax on a smartphone but on a tablet?
Jan 9, 2021 1:21 AM - Pazs: I really only want to record pmkids and handshakes with it at other places than home ..
Jan 9, 2021 9:50 AM - r1sen: in my opinion its easier to r00t a tablet then a phone. What I was saying if you do not need the smartphone to actually be a phone then why bother with that. There are plenty of small tablets better suited to be used for this then a cell phone
Jan 9, 2021 9:52 AM - r1sen: Whether a phone or tablet, they would both be using wifi dongles and capturing wifi packets and injecting, cell network would have nothing to do with this and neither would needing to be connected to an internet source. Wireless capturing using a tablet or phone would still rely on wifi equipment like an alfa card attatched so I really don't see the need for a smart phone unless you plan on..
    Jan 9, 2021 9:52 AM - r1sen: still using it as a phone occasionally

Jan 25, 2021 9:22 PM - Owochan: Anyone successfully cracked any wifi using only a mobile? Just curious... I tried using Hijacker. No luck with my shitty device.
Jan 25, 2021 9:23 PM - Owochan: Login or Signup to view links / downloads
Jan 25, 2021 9:24 PM - Owochan: Here's the link. Really nice tool.
    Jan 26, 2021 2:12 AM - longshanks: Thanks for the share (y)
Jan 26, 2021 2:31 AM - Owochan: Can you check my post.. i need help with a cap.
Jan 26, 2021 11:00 AM - r1sen: Nice tool, or was unfortunately posted right on the github page it says the project is discontinued. Your abilities are heavily impacted by the tools you use.. Do not think you can buy a fancy new wifi card and dongle using aircrack-ng 1.1-rc1.. You will only be held back by tools that are outdated or techniques that are patched.
Jan 26, 2021 11:04 AM - r1sen: I am not saying I am a pro.. :ninja: :penguin: But I can certainly tell you without a doubt learning the commands, options and syntax of the newest release of tools along with the newest builds of the required dependencies you will get a lot further with precision then using outdated bash, python or ruby scripts that depend on binaries 3+ years in the past
Jan 26, 2021 11:06 AM - r1sen: Clicking a fancy button in a window that will call up "airmon-ng check kill && airmon-ng wlan0 start" but only for aircrack-ng version 1.0... Or I could type it myself in the command line with aircrack-ng 1.6.. which do you think would be most effective?
Jan 26, 2021 11:09 AM - r1sen: The wifi access points that are vulnerable to these tools that are perhaps years or many years old.. probably have a null password or something faster to guess then it would take to fire up beini
Jan 26, 2021 11:21 AM - r1sen: Also.. just something to bring up to the audience... saving cap or hxxcap files under the name of the vendor and chipset name of the device of a public forum.. not the smartest? You do realize a lot of the vendor and chip names you guys post and geo-specific? just rename as "home-test.cap / home-test.pcap / home-test.hxxcap / etc etc"...
Jan 26, 2021 11:22 AM - r1sen: If your country is one of a few or the only that use a specific vendor, local address and chipset.. may aswell paint a pirate treasure type map with an arrow point directly to you no?
    Jan 26, 2021 11:24 AM - r1sen: Just saying.. :peeking: :cigar:

26 Jan 2021 at 1:40 PM - Owochan: It says discontinued. But, I managed to capture a cap using that. Also, he said the new version is much better than the one currently available. Let's see what we get.
26 Jan 2021 at 2:22 PM - Owochan: Login or Signup to view links / downloads
26 Jan 2021 at 2:24 PM - Owochan: This one also looks promising. No need to root your device. But, it can only capture packets. It works by using an powerful API.
26 Jan 2021 at 2:26 PM - Owochan: I have alot of stuffs like this :) will share it one by one. Or I can make a mega thread for mobile devices. And I know aircrack in mobiles are not even comparable to PC. but, nothing wrong with trying
26 Jan 2021 at 4:29 PM - longshanks: r1sen is not saying he is a Pro, But i am !!!! (saying he is), trust me he knows what he is talking about, we can only dream of getting up to his stature (y)
26 Jan 2021 at 5:52 PM - r1sen: No, no, no I did not mean there was anything wrong with trying - never! I would never discourage someone and I apologize if you thought I was.
26 Jan 2021 at 5:54 PM - r1sen: All I meant was that using updated tools in your arsenal would give you the best results. Only meaning that usually outdated tools are using drivers and libraries long since updated or supported or techniques that have since been patched. That was all I meant.
27 Jan 2021 at 10:36 AM - r1sen: I checked out your link for kismet-wireless.. again I must point out.. this is their latest release "2012.12.1" or it was last updated December 6th 2012 :/ unfortunately I cannot give this my stamp of approval in any way friend
27 Jan 2021 at 10:40 AM - r1sen: I am not saying these tools cannot be used for capturing packets or credentials.. I am however saying that 100% that these tools are far less effective against modern routers, devices and networks that are implementing the newest technologies and that have long since been patched against previous vulnerabilities
27 Jan 2021 at 10:42 AM - r1sen: You should approach this area of learning and research like 0day - every tool should be the newest update in order to stress test the latest devices and any technique should be seen as one that hasn't circulated the world 100 times over and been patched against 999 times. "If you are not always one step ahead then you will always be one step behind"
27 Jan 2021 at 11:20 AM - Owochan: The problem is the monitoring mode in android devices, Only 2% of the phones supports it and for that to work, we need to compile the kernel with drivers included. That will take atleast a month for newbie Dev's. That's why it isn't popular hacking with mobile devices. They have the computational power enough to do some attacks. If the manufacturer unlocks them out of box. Then, it's a huge win.
27 Jan 2021 at 11:21 AM - Owochan: Also you must have a supported ROM also.
27 Jan 2021 at 11:29 AM - r1sen: Like i've suggested in this thread before.. your best bet is a pinephone - fully unlocked and by default shippied with a full userspace debian "mobile" system
27 Jan 2021 at 11:30 AM - r1sen: Other then that the whole phone thing in my opinion is a gimmick, you can r00t a tablet far easier and *usually* they are beefier in terms of hardware specs then a smart phone
