You're using Tiny Core Linux on a regular laptop, not a raspberry? Why? If you have files that you need to retrieve off that drive, download any live linux distro and boot to it. Linux Mint is nice. If you really need Tiny Core, go0gle around, maybe they have a forum where you can ask, and/or go0gle your error to see what others have done.
