Did this computer come with Win 7 pro? Do you have the original key if so? If the answer to both is yes then here are Microsoft links Win 7 pro 32bit http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59183.iso Win 7 pro 64bit http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59186.iso You will most likely have to do phone activation with your original key. One thing for sure, do not use a torrent like that, wipe your drive completely and reload the correct one from above. Those torrents like that are full of key loggers and other malware.
You were absolutely correct about the torrent. Lesson learned. Wiped clean, reformated HDD and purchased Windows 8.1 everything is working fine now. Hope your having a great day!! S
OMG you have got to be one of the smartest people I have ever came across in forums. What you did was the 100% correct way of doing it, saving yourself a lot of headache, frustration and lost information and files. I mean come on think about it, this is what runs your whole system. Are you going to get a motor for your car that someone welded cracks in the block and put the wrong parts into, just because it is free? You still have to take the time and energy to put that motor in, just to pull it back out, because it does not run. If you want free, go with a Linux distro, if you want Windows, pay for it and save heartache.
