Did you try the SliTaz forum? http://forum.slitaz.org/topic/how-to-change-the-background-image-in-slitza-40 I can only hazard a guess here but you need to find where the wallpaper file is and open your ISO in UltraISO. Then navigate to where the wallpaper is and replace it with the one you want. Then "save as" a new ISO.

i know i replaced the pic and everything but i don't know how to compress two .gz files within each other or else the os will not boot.
about your tutorial i thank you for explaining it to me but as a result i had a gz file and inside it a tar file. i want both files to be gz.
When you looked at it was the main GZ, did it look like example.gz.gz or example.tar.gz? Uploaded a few screenshots. Looks like I got it to work.
