Anyway Update. This issue has been fixed: Feeding Bottle: "Fixed Channel mon0 : -1" error (0.4.3) Tiny Core really need to update their compat-wireless package, it would really solve many problems. The latest I can find is: compat-wireless-3.1.1-3.0.21-tinycore.tcz, it might be fixed using compat-wireless-2012-04-23-3.0.21-tinycore.tcz. Also found these in the latest 4.x distro and I am not sure what x1-rt52 means: wireless-3.0.32-x1-rt52.tcz Error Code Code: Select All mon0 is on channel -1, but the AP uses channel 1 Channel -1? This needs to be patched to work using the negative one maxim patch Code: Select All /net/wireless/chan.c channel-negative-one-maxim.patch In BackTrack this is easy (required for compat-wireless versions before v3.3-rc1): Code: Select All wget http://patches.aircrack-ng.org/channel-negative-one-maxim.patch$ patch -p1 < channel-negative-one-maxim.patch or if you can tell me what card you have this could be solved blacklisting conflicting drivers and modprobing your proper drivers. What wireless interface driver are you using? Code: Select All iwconfig This will require you some testing on your part. I doubt that I have the card you are using so I am limited in testing the above out for myself.
I have the same device and so does a few other Beta testers. If you read a bit into this thread it is throwing up some errors. Rest assured, we are working on it --- Double Post Merged, 20 Jul 2012 --- Ok, I sent a message to SneekyLinux on Youtube and this is what he said to fix the sound issue For sound to work corectly, you need to: • Install oss first • Then run it • Then install flash if it still does not work, right click the desktop, oss will be there (or alsa even) and click on.

Hey, i think this will fix the sound problem...if not im sorry.......im also gonna give player ALSA ALSA PLAYER
It appears that this issue could effect a large range of cards. It is my understanding this happens when there are multiple drivers assigned to the same wireless device. In Ubuntu it is possible to blacklist an old and/or conflicting driver. Code: Select All sudo echo "blacklist rtl8192cu" >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf OR Code: Select All chmod 775 install.sh - install the driver (when asked, select '1' for '8192cu') Code: Select All sudo ./install.sh - open /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf Code: Select All sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf - blacklist the old module (which is included in the kernel) by adding the following line to that file: Code: Select All blacklist rtl8192cu - open /etc/modules Code: Select All sudo gedit /etc/modules - add the new driver to the list of custom/additional modules that are loaded at boot by adding the following line to that file: Code: Select All 8192cu I found this information here: http://goo.gl/cyQHh --- Double Post Merged, 22 Jul 2012 --- Possible Workaround Code: Select All airmon-ng start wlan0 1 This should start airmon on the same channel as the AP you are trying to attack, channel 1 in this instance. Use wlan0 in aireplay-ng not mon0. This is not a fix, but a potential workaround.
The alfa NHR had an Atheros Chipset, so, i think it will be compatible Correction: i was confused with the NHA
